Role: Junior Accountant
Reports to: Finance Manager

Role Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Junior Accountant is responsible for performing key financial and administrative functions to support the smooth operation of the business. This includes extracting and reconciling sales data, managing petty cash analysis, recording and distributing tips, reconciling bank statements, preparing pension and bill payment schedules, overseeing inventory counts, and ensuring full compliance with organizational policies and financial regulation
Duties and Responsibilities
- Extract and review daily sales data from Timely and Fresha.
- Monitor petty cash expenses, balances, and reimbursement timelines.
- Reconcile sales reports with store receipts and resolve discrepancies.
- Record and manage staff tip distributions accurately.
- Perform bank reconciliations and resolve variances.
- Prepare and maintain employee pension schedules.
- Schedule and track payment of recurring bills and utilities.
- Supervise inventory counts and ensure accurate stock records.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in preparing financial reports and supporting audit processes.
- Provide administrative and clerical support to the finance department.
Key Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Professional certification or ongoing ICAN/ACCA studies is an added advantage.
- Knowledge of bank reconciliation, petty cash management, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, accounting software, and POS systems.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently under pressure.
