Job Title: Project Manager – 400MW Gas-Fired Power Plant

Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of a 400MW Simple Cycle Gas-Fired Power Plant, from project initiation through engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and commercial operation. This is a flagship infrastructure project with a target delivery timeline of 24–30 months.
Responsibilities
- Lead the full project lifecycle from initiation to Commercial Operation Date (COD).
- Manage project schedules, budgets, risks, and EPC contractors.
- Oversee the installation and commissioning of heavy-duty gas turbines (GE Frame 9 or Siemens 2000E).
- Coordinate gas supply infrastructure and utility interfaces.
- Supervise the delivery of a 330kV transmission line and grid interconnection.
- Ensure compliance with HSE, regulatory, and quality standards.
- Manage relationships with regulators, contractors, host communities, and key stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Civil Engineering.
- PMP or PRINCE2 certification is required.
- Master’s degree, MBA, or COREN registration is an added advantage.
- 12–15 years’ project management experience, including at least 8 years delivering thermal power projects.
- Demonstrated experience delivering 200MW+ gas-fired power projects from construction to commercial operation.
- Hands-on experience with GE Frame 9 or Siemens V94.2/2000E gas turbines.
- Experience managing 132kV/330kV substations and transmission line projects.
- Strong knowledge of EPC contracts, project controls, and the Nigerian power sector.
