Job Title: Team Member – Credit Control & Financial Operations

Location: Victoria Island, Lagos

Job Summary

The Team Member – Credit Control & Financial Operations is responsible for supporting the Head of Finance Operations in coordinating finance operational activities, ensuring efficient receipting, reconciliation, premium monitoring, and credit control processes. The role ensures compliance with regulatory requirements, maintains strong internal controls, supports cash flow optimization, and minimizes credit risks through effective receivables management.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure timely collection and monitoring of insurance premiums and receivables.
• Reduce outstanding and unreceipted inflows in both volume and value.
• Monitor overdue premiums and unremitted collections, escalating exceptions where necessary.
• Follow up with brokers, clients, reinsurers, and co-insurers for settlement of outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate records of receivables and payment statuses.
• Safeguard company cash flow by minimizing credit exposure and financial risks.
• Ensure compliance with NAICOM guidelines and company credit policies.
• Support all transaction receipt posting activities for both Life and Non-Life businesses.
• Ensure timely and accurate posting of receipts into the General Ledger (GL).
• Confirm premium inflows in response to RSM enquiries.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• A postgraduate degree or MBA in Finance Management or related field is an added advantage.
• ICAN or ACCA certification is required.
• Progress toward either qualification is an added advantage.
• Minimum of 4 years’ relevant experience in credit control, finance operations, receivables management, or financial controle.
