Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Branch Leader to provide strategic leadership and drive business growth across our branch operations. This role is ideal for a commercially focused banking professional with strong leadership capability, excellent customer relationship management skills, and proven success in business development and branch performance management.
As a Branch Leader, you will be responsible for delivering business objectives, growing market share, ensuring operational excellence, managing branch profitability, and leading high-performing teams while delivering exceptional customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
Business Development & Growth
* Develop and execute strategic marketing plans to increase branch market share and business penetration.
* Drive acquisition of new customers and identify opportunities for expanding business portfolios.
* Develop and explore new business areas and revenue opportunities.
* Review branch marketing strategies and prepare target market studies across assigned industries and markets.
* Monitor and achieve branch growth targets across deposits, loans, and retail banking products.
Customer Relationship & Service Excellence
* Build and maintain strong customer relationships to drive satisfaction and retention.
* Identify customer needs and proactively recommend suitable banking products and services.
* Ensure delivery of excellent customer service standards across branch operations.
Credit & Risk Management
* Ensure full compliance with credit policies, procedures, and operational guidelines.
* Review customer credit applications and make sound recommendations.
* Conduct collateral inspections and appraisals.
* Monitor portfolio performance and initiate recovery actions on non-performing loans.
* Support prudent lending practices and maintain healthy asset quality.
Leadership & People Management
* Recruit, develop, coach, and retain high-performing branch teams.
* Foster collaboration, accountability, and a performance-driven culture.
* Provide leadership, supervision, and ongoing development to Account Officers and branch staff.
* Drive team engagement and initiatives that improve productivity and business outcomes.
Operations & Reporting
* Ensure accurate account setup and management information classification.
* Prepare regular performance and business reports for management review.
* Maintain strong governance standards and support positive audit outcomes.
* Execute additional responsibilities as assigned by management.
Experience
* Minimum of 10 years of relevant banking experience, with demonstrated leadership exposure in branch banking or business banking operations.
