We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Draughtsman to join our team in Abuja. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating accurate technical drawings and layouts for civil, mechanical, piping, and electrical projects using AutoCAD Plant 3D software. This role requires strong technical expertise, precision, and the ability to support engineering and construction teams with high-quality drafting solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings for gas distribution systems using AutoCAD Plant 3D software.
• Develop and modify design plans, station layouts, and equipment placement drawings.
• Prepare civil, mechanical, piping, and electrical drawings for industrial and commercial projects.
• Conduct stress analysis where required.
• Carry out site visits for data gathering and project assessment.
• Support the preparation of design documentation and construction specifications.
• Update and maintain existing technical drawings and project plans.
• Draft 2D plan and cross-sectional drawings using AutoCAD.
• Generate 3D models in DXF format for DGPS systems.
• Compute volume cut/fill calculations using Civil, Piping, and Electrical 3D software.
• Prepare structural steel drawings for workshops, warehouses, and filling station canopies.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to ensure design accuracy and project efficiency.

Requirements

• HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in AutoCAD drafting with strong proficiency.
• Excellent knowledge and hands-on experience with AutoCAD Plant 3D software.
• Strong understanding of piping/mechanical and electrical drawings.
• Experience preparing industrial layouts, particularly for Oil & Gas plants and filling stations.
• Familiarity with structural steel drawings and industrial infrastructure layouts.
• Ability to use Google Maps and Google Earth for geo-location identification and data collection.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work independently and meet project deadlines.
• Knowledge of project timelines and cost estimation is an added advantage.
• Prior experience in the gas or energy industry is highly preferred.
