Job Title: Customs Document Manager (Control Towers)

Job Summary
The ideal candidate will manage documentation teams, coordinate with customs authorities and clearing agents, and ensure timely cargo release while minimizing delays and penalties.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the import/export documentation team
- Prepare, review, and approve customs documents including Form M, PAAR, Bills of Lading, invoices, and packing lists
- Liaise with customs authorities, regulatory agencies, and clearing agents
- Monitor clearance activities to ensure timely cargo release
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and company policies
- Handle complex or high-value shipment documentation issues
- Maintain accurate electronic and physical documentation records
- Provide reports on shipment status, delays, and compliance matters
- Train and mentor junior documentation staff
- Drive operational efficiency and process improvement initiatives
- Support contract and vendor management activities
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- MBA or professional certification is an added advantage
- 5–8 years’ experience in freight forwarding, customs clearance, logistics, and documentation management
- Minimum of 3–5 years in a supervisory or managerial role
- Strong understanding of import/export documentation and customs processes
- Good knowledge of INCOTERMS
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics/customs management systems
- Strong leadership, communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail
