About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and results-driven IT Manager to lead the administration, optimization, security, and continuous improvement of our enterprise IT infrastructure, database environment, and business-critical applications. The successful candidate will oversee Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) database management, Fund Fusion application support, information security, governance and compliance, disaster recovery, systems integration, and release management.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage, monitor, and optimize Microsoft SQL Server (MSSQL) databases to ensure high performance, availability, scalability, and reliability.
- Monitor and tune core databases for optimal efficiency.
- Implement indexing, partitioning, query optimization, and other database performance enhancement techniques.
- Analyze database performance and recommend continuous improvements.
- Administer and support the Fund Fusion application to ensure seamless business operations.
- Apply application patches, updates, service packs, and security fixes.
- Troubleshoot and resolve application-related issues within agreed service levels.
- Liaise with application vendors (CVI) for issue resolution, upgrades, and product enhancements.
- Automate statement generation and other business processes where applicable.
- Implement robust authentication and access control mechanisms across enterprise applications.
- Ensure databases and applications comply with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular security audits and vulnerability assessments.
- Support the implementation of information security policies and best practices.
- Maintain and support ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS) compliance.
- Conduct IT risk assessments and implement appropriate mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing (VAPT) exercises and ensure timely remediation.
- Coordinate internal and external IT audits.
- Drive compliance with documentation, governance, and operational standards.
- Deliver security awareness and user training programmes.
- Develop, implement, and maintain reliable backup and recovery strategies.
- Regularly test disaster recovery procedures to ensure business continuity and data integrity.
- Ensure minimal downtime during system failures and recovery processes.
- Monitor enterprise systems and database performance using appropriate monitoring tools.
- Identify system bottlenecks and implement corrective measures.
- Troubleshoot database performance issues, deadlocks, and system slowdowns.
- Ensure continuous availability and reliability of production systems.
- Manage database changes and application configurations in accordance with change management procedures.
- Maintain version control for database scripts and application releases.
- Coordinate deployment of new releases, service packs, plug-ins, and software upgrades across production and non-production environments.
- Maintain the enterprise release schedule in collaboration with application, infrastructure, and third-party service providers.
- Develop and deploy reports using enterprise reporting tools and reporting servers.
- Support systems integration projects and production deployments.
- Ensure successful implementation of new technologies and enhancements into the production environment.
Requirements
Educational Qualification & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A postgraduate qualification or relevant professional certification is an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5–7 years’ experience in IT Operations, Database Administration, Enterprise Application Support, or IT Infrastructure Management.
- Proven experience administering Microsoft SQL Server environments.
- Experience supporting enterprise business applications, preferably Fund Fusion or similar financial applications.
- Hands-on experience implementing backup, disaster recovery, security, and compliance initiatives.
- Experience managing enterprise software deployments and system integrations.
