Job Summary

The HSE & Compliance Officer will oversee workplace health, safety, environmental compliance, and risk management activities within the Pantheon property operations. The ideal candidate will ensure adherence to regulatory standards, promote a strong safety culture, and implement sustainability initiatives aimed at reducing environmental impact and improving operational efficiency.

This role requires close collaboration with employees, management teams, contractors, vendors, and regulatory bodies to maintain a safe and compliant workplace.

Key Responsibilities

Health, Safety & Compliance

  • Develop, implement, and maintain HSE policies, procedures, and programs in line with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and non-compliance issues.
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Monitor compliance with local and international HSE regulations and standards.
  • Coordinate HSE training programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, training, incidents, and corrective actions.
  • Provide technical guidance and support on HSE matters across the organization.
  • Participate in emergency response planning, drills, and preparedness activities.
  • Conduct quarterly internal audits and coordinate external regulatory inspections and certifications.
  • Carry out HSE assessments for subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors.

Environmental Sustainability

  • Implement waste reduction and energy efficiency initiatives.
  • Monitor environmental impact and ensure compliance with environmental laws and regulations.
  • Support environmental management programs, including pollution prevention and conservation initiatives.
  • Drive initiatives aimed at achieving ISO 14001 or related environmental certifications.
  • Work towards reducing energy consumption and waste production by 20% within the first 12 months.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications such as CSP, CIH, CHMM, or related certifications are an added advantage.
  • 5–8 years of experience in HSE management, risk assessment, and regulatory compliance.
  • Strong knowledge of ISO 14001, OSHA, EPA, and other local/international HSE regulations and standards.
  • Experience in industrial, construction, manufacturing, or property operations environments is preferred.

Required Skills & Competencies

  • Strong incident investigation and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience conducting internal audits and coordinating regulatory inspections.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and Zoom.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to implement and improve operational systems and procedures.
