Job Title: Business Development Manager

Job Type: Full Time

Location: VI, Lagos (Hybrid)

Salary: ₦600,000- ₦750,000 monthly net

Responsibilities:

  • Drive revenue growth by securing integrated premium partnerships, branded content projects, and advertising collaborations.
  • Build, manage, and convert a robust pipeline of high-value prospects with disciplined follow-through from first engagement to signed contract.
  • Translate advertiser and agency objectives into compelling, executable creative and editorial opportunities in collaboration with internal teams.
  • Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities across branded content sponsorships, partnerships, events, and integrated campaigns.
  • Build, manage, and convert a robust sales pipeline aligned with revenue targets and growth goals.
  • Lead commercial conversations end-to-end, including outreach, discovery, proposal development, negotiation, and closing.
  • Develop tailored proposals, pitch decks, and commercial presentations for prospective partners and agencies.
  • Own and manage relationships with key clients, agencies, and institutional partners.
  • Ensure high-quality delivery by collaborating closely with editorial, creative, and production teams.
  • Drive repeat business, renewals, and long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Act as the primary commercial point of contact throughout the partnership lifecycle.
  • Contribute to pricing strategy, packaging, and the development of commercial products and offerings.
  • Identify and test new revenue streams aligned with the company’s brand, audience, and editorial mission.
  • Support revenue forecasting, pipeline planning, and commercial performance reviews with leadership.
  • Translate partner briefs into clear, executable scopes and creative directions.

Responsibilities:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, communications, or a related field with interest in media/journalism.
  • 5–7 years experience in business development, sales, commercial strategy, or partnerships—preferably in media/journalism industry.
  • Proven track record of closing revenue-generating deals.
  • A business development portfolio demonstrating prior work, which may include:
  • Strong negotiation and relationship management skills.
  • Comfortable with targets, pipelines, and closing deals.
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution capability.
