Job Summary

The Managing Director/CEO will provide strategic leadership and direction to the organization, ensuring sustainable growth, operational excellence, and strict compliance with regulatory standards. This role requires a visionary leader with strong experience in microfinance or commercial banking, capable of driving financial performance, fostering innovation, and leading teams towards achieving long-term corporate goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and oversight of the bank’s operations, ensuring growth, profitability, and financial sustainability.

• Develop and implement business strategies aligned with the bank’s goals and regulatory requirements.

• Strengthen internal processes, risk management, and compliance frameworks.

• Build and maintain strong relationships with regulatory authorities, partners, and stakeholders.

• Lead and mentor the management team to drive high performance, innovation, and excellent customer service.

• Identify market opportunities and drive initiatives to expand financial inclusion.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.

• Master’s degree or MBA is an added advantage.

• Minimum of 10–15 years progressive experience in the financial services sector, with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles.

• Strong experience in microfinance banking operations, lending, and credit management.

• Knowledge of CBN regulations and microfinance banking guidelines.

• Proven track record in strategic leadership, business growth, and operational efficiency.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
