Head of Sales

The Head of Sales will oversee the Risk Asset departments of the bank, comprising different Loan products and sales funnels. You will manage the sales budget and portfolio of the bank, oversee the development and implementation of sales strategies that will generate active leads across different business verticals, and ensure that bottom-line targets are met.

Responsibilities:

• Strategic management, business development, and profitability of applicable business units

• Planning, implementing, and managing commercial strategy and tactical business plans of the bank, taking into account the market opportunities and growth potential, competitor activities, existing capabilities, and the bank’s risk appetite.

• Devise and agree on product and sales mix strategies

• Manage the entire sales team/department to achieve periodic sales targets

• Report to the management/Board on all commercial activities as they concern the sales department.

• Design and implement market penetration plan for all new products, both traditional and digital products

• Define measurable business growth objectives, management processes, and measures

• Define and develop a service-based, customer-centric sales culture.

• Responsible for market research initiatives to drive adoption and increase customers’ activities

• Review and recommend improvements to existing business strategies.

• Work with the team to develop innovative business techniques and models.

• Recommend business improvements based on market and competitive trends.

• Oversee the sales department’s team leads, managers, and officers and guide the respective units

• Provide timely, accurate information and reports regularly to management and the board

• Organize and participate credit committee at the credit level outlined in the procedure manual

• Manage the application of policies, norms, and procedures at and supervise the entire loan process according to set procedures.

• Set, implement, and monitor the performance of department/unit managers

• Monitor the quality of the loan portfolio and perform analysis to determine what factors are affecting delinquency rates and develop loan recovery strategies

• Drive the team to ensure growth in deposit and retail savings

• Manage the bank savings products to ensure achievement of the loans-to-savings ratio

• Set, implement, and monitor performance of the department/managers.

• Perform analysis on financial indicators and provide reports for the CEO/Board indicating disbursements, client retention, growth of different products, and branch delinquency.

Requirements:

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration

• Significant experience in financial services at the senior management level of the organization’s sales department.
