Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Handle talent acquisition, selection and placement by utilizing various sourcing techniques to get the best talent within stipulated timeline.
• Plan and coordinate effective induction and onboarding for new joiners.
• Send prospective employees for pre-employment medicals.
• Manage employee performances especially annual and probationary appraisals.
• Conduct reference checks and verification.
• Manage monthly reconciliations for HMO, group life, pension, etc.
• Draft policies and ensure proper implementation and staff compliance with policies.
• Manage trackers for employees confirmation, entry, exit, birthday celebration, annual medical fitness, long service, gratuity etc.
• Manage employee records and treat with utmost confidentiality, ensure proper documentation and filing.
• Ensure proper off-boarding of exiting employees.
• Ensure all insurances such as HMO, Grouplife, GPA, Fidelity Guarantee, NSITF, ITF always remain valid.
• Enhance learning and development, prepare employees for training, research training institutes, design training plan and conduct post training evaluation.
• Manage attendances for meetings, HR programs and events.
• Prepare minutes of meetings and give report on weekly and monthly basis.
• Respond to staff enquiries and FAQs.
• Resolve conflicts that may arise.
Specification
Our ideal candidate should possess the following:
• Bsc. in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or related field from a reputable university.
• Must have a minimum of 3-4 years working experience as a HR Officer/Generalist.
• HR Certification i.e. CIPM/SHRM/HRCI is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of computing statutory deductions i.e PAYE, Pension, NHF, Group Life etc.
• Proficient in the use of HRIS, ATS, Ms. Office suites and sound sourcing technique.
• Must be agile and able to work in a fast-paced environment with cross sectional team.
• Must be discrete, have a high level of integrity and confidentiality.
• Great attention to details.
• Strong interpersonal skills to build and nurture relations across all levels.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to take ownership and deliver results without supervision.
• Good with presentations, report writing and minutes taking.
• Must have a good knowledge of the Nigeria Labour Law.
