Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Chief Engineer / Head, Engineering to oversee the technical operations and maintenance of a leading hospitality property. The ideal candidate will ensure all systems, facilities, and equipment are efficiently managed, safe, and maintained to the highest standards, while driving sustainability and cost-efficiency initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead all engineering and maintenance activities across the property.
• Oversee mechanical, electrical, plumbing (MEP), HVAC, and fire safety systems.
• Develop and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
• Manage capital projects, renovations, and upgrades within timelines and budgets.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
• Conduct regular inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
• Lead, train, and motivate engineering and technical teams.
• Manage departmental budgets and drive energy efficiency and sustainability programs.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (Master’s or MBA is an added advantage).
• COREN registration or equivalent certification required.
• 8–10 years of experience, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within a 4-star or 5-star hotel.
• Proven track record in project management, budget control, and preventive maintenance.
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, HVAC, and energy management.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and vendor management skills.
