Job Summary
Our client is seeking a skilled and experienced Auto Electrician to join their mechanical team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical and electronic systems in vehicles, machinery, and equipment, particularly within a heavy-duty or construction environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults in vehicles, equipment, and machinery.
• Install, maintain, and repair wiring systems, control panels, sensors, starters, alternators, and batteries.
• Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance on auto-electrical systems.
• Use diagnostic tools and testers to identify and troubleshoot electrical issues.
• Collaborate with mechanical technicians to resolve complex equipment faults.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and job reports.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards, company procedures, and industry regulations.
• Ensure proper use and care of tools, equipment, and work facilities.
Requirements & Qualifications
• Proven experience as an Auto Electrician in a construction, heavy-equipment, or related environment.
• Minimum of OND (Ordinary National Diploma)
• Strong knowledge of auto-electrical systems for heavy-duty machinery and vehicles.
• Proficiency in the use of electrical testers, diagnostic tools, and related equipment.
• Hands-on experience with machinery, voltage systems, wiring, and control units.
• Basic computer literacy is required.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
