Job Title: Tax/Admin Assistant

Location: Abuja

Job Type: Full Time

We are seeking a highly organized and detailed oriented Tax/Admin Assistant to provide day-to-day support for our team. The ideal candidate will handle a variety of administrative and clerical tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the office or project workflow.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform general administrative duties such as data entry, filing, scanning, and organizing documents
  • Communicate with clients or government agencies (IRS, State tax offices)
  • Audit of annual and consolidated financial statements (in accordance IFRS and GAAP)
  • Prepare annual financial statements and of tax returns
  • Tax planning & VAT consulting
  • Schedule appointments and manage calendars
  • Prepare reports, presentations, or correspondence as needed
  • Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders when necessary
  • Manage day to day office operations
  • Assist with invoice processing, expense tracking, or timesheet collection
  • Ensure confidential information is handled with discretion
  • Keep up to date with tax laws and filing deadlines
  • Review financial records and reports for accuracy
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of experience in an administrative or tax assistant role
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and/or Google Workspace
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
