Overview:
We are seeking a passionate and motivated Commis Chef to join a dynamic kitchen team within a leading hospitality establishment. The ideal candidate will assist in daily food preparation, maintain cleanliness and quality standards, and support senior chefs in delivering exceptional dining experiences. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist senior chefs in preparing and cooking ingredients according to recipes and hotel standards.
• Maintain mise en place throughout service.
• Support in plating and presentation to ensure consistent quality.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and HACCP regulations.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workstation.
• Assist with kitchen cleaning, equipment sanitization, and waste management.
• Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth service delivery.
• Participate in food preparation for banquets, buffets, and special events.
• Continuously learn and develop culinary skills under the guidance of senior chefs.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts (advantageous).
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining setting.
• Basic understanding of food preparation, hygiene, and safety standards.
• Strong teamwork, time management, and communication skills.
• Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the culinary field.
