Summary:
Our client, a reputable Mortgage bank, is seeking a seasoned Divisional Head, Finance and Control, to provides strategic leadership for the financial management, control, and sustainability of the organization, while also supervising the Corporate Services Group to ensure operational efficiency, compliance, and resource optimization. The role demands a blend of strong financial acumen and cross-functional oversight capabilities.
Role Responsibilities:
Finance & Control:
• Develop and implement financial strategies aligned with the organization’s goals.
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance analysis.
• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, tax laws, and internal financial policies.
• Monitor internal controls, audit processes, and risk management practices.
• Provide financial advice to support strategic decision-making and growth initiatives.
Corporate Services Supervision:
• Provide oversight and direction for corporate services, including administration, procurement, and facilities management.
• Ensure the implementation of efficient processes and systems in support functions.
• Monitor procurement practices for compliance with cost-efficiency and transparency standards.
• Guide the corporate services team in contract management, asset control, & administrative support functions.
• Promote collaboration and alignment between corporate services and other business units.
• Guide the development and implementation of HR policies and practices.
• Oversee talent acquisition, performance management, learning and development, & succession planning.
• Champion employee engagement, retention, and culture initiatives.
• Oversee brand management, corporate identity, and internal/external communication strategies.
• Ensure consistent brand messaging and effective media/public relations.
• Drive continuous improvement in service standards and customer satisfaction.
• Oversee service delivery frameworks and performance monitoring systems.
Role Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s degree is an advantage).
• Professional certification (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CPA) is required.
• Minimum of 10-12 years of relevant experience, with at least 5 in a senior leadership role.
• Experience supervising multidisciplinary teams, including non-financial functions, is desirable.
• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting standards (IFRS, GAAP).
• Strong experience with ERP systems and financial software.
• Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Proficiency in risk management, audit, and internal controls.
• Solid understanding of procurement policies and administrative management.
• Strategic planning and resource allocation.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
